The digital marketing landscape is constantly changing.

It seems like every five seconds a new platform, feature, trend, or algorithm hack enters the scene.

Platforms continue to become increasingly saturated with new users. Plus, social media companies keep finding new ways to suppress organic content in order to incentivize buying paid ads.

Meanwhile, you’re just trying to run your business.

Even if you have a team, it’s hard to keep up.

The tactics that may have worked for you in the past have become less and less effective, It’s difficult to know exactly how to cut through the noise anymore and whether or not it’s worth the resources it to try.

Nevertheless, there’s a nagging feeling that if you had the right strategy, an effective system, and a little support, you could make these digital marketing channels work for you.

You’re not alone in feeling this way.

The number one complaint I hear from even my most successful clients is: “I don’t have a consistent online presence and I know I need one.”

“When Rebecca laid out my first month of posts, it was incredible to see. All the bases were covered at a comfortable pace. There was a rhythm to it. And the system was simple enough to be able to pass onto my assistant who did the actual posting. I feel so proud of my slow and steady social media strategy and have new ideas all the time on how to use it.

I not only would recommend Rebecca's work, I do. Constantly. She's my go to recommendation for folks who need help with their social media marketing. If you want to ask me anything about my experience with Rebecca, please feel free to text or call my directly: 780.885.8891.”

The obstacles to having an effective & sustainable online presence are many.

  1. Digital marketing is time-consuming. Being a small business owner or nonprofit organization often means you’re often wearing all the hats. Who has time to design images and write captions every single day on top of everything else they do?

  2. Content creation is a never-ending cycle. Constantly having to come up with new ideas, execute on them, and then wake up the next day only to have to do it all over again can be a Groundhog’s Day nightmare.

  3. Social media sucks. On top of being a huge productivity liability, most platforms are owned by questionable people and it can feel gross and out of alignment with your purpose to keep supporting them.

  4. It’s tough to find the right workflow. Sometimes the content is there, but the publishing process isn’t. This can feel like you’re spending all your energy getting the plane off the ground and never fully cruising through the air.

Organic content marketing is all about building relationships & trust over time. It’s a long game.

We know that consistency matters.

Showing up again and again with value and integrity lets your audience know that you’re someone they can count on for the offerings you provide.

When it comes to social media, typically only about 10% of your audience sees something you post at any given time. After that, they still need to see it dozens more times for it to actually sink in.

Strategy also matters.

Just because we’re showing up consistently doesn’t mean people will engage. The content we create has to resonate in order to drive action.

What does this mean for you?

It means that popping in to say hi every once in a while to say hi or promote something just isn’t going to cut it. Similarly, showing up everyday without results is a drain on your business and your life energy.

You need a strategic plan & a sustainable system.

“I worked with Rebecca to become more consistent with my social media, but my experience of working with her has led to far more than that. Rebecca strikes the perfect balance between structure and process, and colouring outside the lines. She has helped me develop a relationship with structure that has unleashed my creativity in ways I did not expect, well beyond my work. She has also helped me to hold things more lightly—to see social media as more of a game and a bonus, than a central theme of my marketing, which feels much healthier for for me and has helped me be more visible, with less effort.

I feel more confident in sharing my point of view on LinkedIn, and have made some wonderful new connections and seen my business continue to flourish and expand because of this. In other parts of my life, the techniques she has taught me—particularly how to use Trello Boards to organise creative projects—have had a massive impact on my creative writing and have helped me get to the point where I have almost finished the first draft if a book I have been procrastinating about writing more than two years.

I would highly recommend working with Rebecca. She has a big heart, and it is easy to tell her exactly how I am feeling, which led us to shape the approach I took to my social media, rather than having a rigid structure forced upon me. Beyond her excellent copy-editing skills and knowledge of what does and doesn't work on social media, she is a heart-led human and having her by my side made being visible feel easier.”

The Details

Strategy + Systems + Support = Sustainable Success

The Content Strategy Coaching Intensive takes place over the course of three to six months with a total of 12 weekly or biweekly sessions, depending on what pace feels right for you and your business.

I will be your strategic partner helping you navigate the saturated digital landscape so you’re not out there alone, throwing spaghetti against a moving wall.

If you have others on your team who could benefit from being looped in, such as a virtual assistant or social media manager, you are welcomed and encouraged to bring them along on this journey.

The more hands on deck the better.

Part 1: Strategy

Four 75-Minute Weekly or Biweekly Sessions

SESSION 1: YOUR PURPOSE Why do you do what you do—not just for the people you serve, but for yourself? How will showing up online more strategically and consistently actually contribute to that end? In this session, we’ll focus on your North Star, the foundation and guiding light of your whole operation. We’ll get clear on why you're creating digital content so that your time on email and social media actually contributes to the overall health and growth of your business.

SESSION 2: YOUR PEOPLE Who do you create digital content for and where do they “live” online? In this session we’ll take a deep dive into your target market so that the content you create actually reaches and resonates with the people who could most benefit from your work.

SESSION 3: YOUR POSITIONING The digital landscape is saturated. Who are you in a sea of other providers who offer something similar? How do you cut through the noise? In this session we will develop a unique value proposition that succinctly expresses your work in a way that sits right with your soul.

SESSION 4: YOUR PROPOSAL You may have amazing offerings, but if you don’t talk about them in a captivating way, they’re less likely to sell. This session is all about writing compelling sales copy that strikes the delicate balance between providing value and driving action.

Part 2: Structure

Four 75-Minute Weekly or Biweekly Sessions

SESSION 5: YOUR CONTENT TRELLISES Now that we’ve established where we’re going, let’s get organized. There is so much you could say and do online, and so many ever-changing social media trends and features, it’s easy to get overwhelmed or off track. In this session we’ll get clear on what ‘on brand’ means for you and what types of content make sense for your business.

SESSION 6: YOUR CONTENT TREE Using the trellises we’ve created, we will now generate a treasure trove full of ideas and prompts that showcase your unique thought leadership. This will create enough engaging, shareable, relationship-building content to last a year or more, regardless of what the algorithm is up to.

SESSION 7: YOUR CONTENT COMPOSITION What colors, fonts, themes, and images best express what you do and most deeply resonate with your audience? In this session we’ll determine how to visually express your message on email and social media. We’ll also create a set of templates that you can continue to reuse to stay aesthetically consistent and save time.

SESSION 8: YOUR CONTENT CALENDAR In this session I’ll introduce your customized project management system that will help you get all your content in one place and map it out before it goes live so you can get into a strategic rhythm that makes sense for your business, your creativity, and your audience. We’ll decide what to post, when to post, and where to post it over the course of a quarter (three-month period) so that all of your digital content bases are covered and work cohesively with your overall business plan.

Part 3: Systems

SESSIONS 9-12: PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER

In these next four sessions, we’ll put the plan we’ve created to work. During this time, we will work together to batch, stage, and schedule your first month of content so that you can take the project management system out for a spin with my help and guidance before trying it on your own.

Part 4: Support

Three 45-Minute Sessions

SESSIONS 13-15:
IMPLEMENTATION & ACCOUNTABILITY

These coaching sessions are focused on answering questions that pop up as you begin to use the system on your own, as well as keeping you on track as you work toward having a sustainable and effective online presence.

“Just seeing HOW someone builds out a month of content is super helpful. It reduced my fear around scheduling content and keeping it organized and organically flowing. Her systems and structures are excellent. I feel like I'm getting much better organized around how to create and produce content because of her work. I had a reel go viral a few months into working with Rebecca and I didn't have to freak out that I didn't have anymore good content planned and ready. I've got a constant stream of awesome stuff to feed my new followers so I can keep growing! She brings a high level of thought, strategy, and organization to what she does and she makes social media feel less intimidating.”

Is this the right fit for you?

This coaching intensive might be for you if . . .

  1. You have an established purpose-driven small business or organization and you feel passionate about leaving the world better than you found it.

  2. You’ve got things to do and people to serve; you don’t have time to be fiddling around on social media all day.

  3. You’re not sure how to effectively and consistently show up on certain platforms and could use the help of a strategic partner to walk the digital marketing path with you.

This coaching intensive might NOT for you if . . .

  1. You are still figuring out what your business or project is. If you don’t have clarity around your purpose, offerings, and audience, or you haven’t quite gotten your business off the ground, email and social media marketing are not the best use of your time yet. I highly recommend checking out Tad Hargrave’s work if you need help in this regard.

  2. You are struggling to keep your business afloat. If you’re in a financial pinch and need to make revenue quickly, social media is not a great place to start. Digital marketing all about building relationships and trust over time. It’s great for adding fuel to an already existing fire, but it’s not great for getting the fire started.

  3. You are committed to doing things on the fly, when the right inspiration hits, and cannot imagine a world in which you would enjoy planning ahead and adhering to a structured, systematic approach to something.

A Bit About Me

Hi! I’m Rebecca and I’m passionate about helping people doing the most good to take up the most space online.

Content strategy is a collective expression of passions, skills, and knowledge I have accumulated like a snowball over the last 20 years of my professional and personal life. It’s the one place where my myriad sides can work together in harmony and be of service to others.

My work is all about supporting purpose-driven small businesses produce a steady flow of impactful email and social media content even they’re overwhelmed and strapped for time.

When I'm not staring at my laptop, you can find me ordering another latte I don’t need, dragging my friends to karaoke, roller skating poorly, wistfully dreaming up my next Halloween costume, and contributing barely anything of use to my trivia team.
