Work & Life in the Year of the Rabbit
As a proponent and (I'm pretty sure) coiner of the term Big Cat Energy, saying goodbye to the Year of the Tiger is bittersweet for this lil' business owner. (You can read more about why I love tigers here.)
But! I am excited to welcome in the fresh, bouncy, eternal Spring energy of the Year of the Rabbit.
I am not an astrologer by any stretch, but I do love the wisdom it brings. I like to reflect on the animal of the year and see what qualities it evokes for me.
What do you feel when you think of a rabbit?
Here's what comes up for me . . .
While the Tiger is deliberate, fierce, goal-oriented, the Rabbit is open, sweet, curious
Remember what Alice said when she got to the bottom of the rabbit hole?
"Curiouser and curiouser.”
The Tiger knows what she wants and takes the most direct path to get there.
The Rabbit explores, meanders, dilly dallies, discovers.
This makes me think of adrienne maree brown's Emergent Strategy. Instead of pre-deciding what direction to take, can we loosen up our plans? Let new ideas emerge? Let the changing of circumstances gently guide us through the terrain?
Instead of going outward, can we go inward? Underground, even? Somewhere cool, dark, quiet?
